Tasting Notes:

2010 will be kicked off with a wonderful "Pairing" tasting, which will be hosted by Rosalind Dworkin, at the beautiful home of Judy and Leon Smith.  Members each will prepare and bring a dish, paired with their favorite wine match, for said dish.  This will be an educational--not to mention delicious--event.  A good time will be had by all.

Wine and Food Pairing

January, 2010

 

            The Houston chapter has a wine and food pairing event every January.  It is a great way to start off the new year and to extend the holiday season for a little longer.  This year, 35 members and guests attended.  Each individual or couple brought a homemade dish with a wine paired with it.  At the end of the evening we voted for our favorite pairing in each category:  appetizers, main dish and dessert.  A glance at the list below confirms that the Houston chapter pairs well and we are great cooks too!

American Wine Society, Houston Chapter, January Tasting:  Pairings - each member will bring a bottle of wine and food that complements the wines.  We will vote on the best pairing and share how the pairing was chosen.  This event is always a favorite of many of the members.
