March Tasting, hosted by Ned and Jeanne Videtto
Ten Riesling wines
from Luxembourg, Germany, and Alsace. Our hosts are also
including an elaborate table of goodies, so there is no need
for dinner reservations.
Menu:
Caviar on molded chopped eggs
- Shrimp platter with remoulade sauce
- A cheese platter with crackers and bread
- Asparagus wrapped in ham
- Marinated vegetables (carrots, cucumbers, cauliflower,
beets)
- Sausages with German mustard
- Pork Tenderloins cooked in Riesling wine and cognac (a
traditional Luxembourg dish)
- German and French breads
For desert, lemon mousse trifles layered with apricots
As Jeanne says, “There will be plenty of food and no need to
make dinner plans”.
